Zonta Advocacy - Achieving Gender Equality
Zontians believe in equality between women and men, between boys and girls, and combined worldwide efforts to achieve a world in which:
Through our partnerships with United Nations agencies, Zonta’s biennial service goals and projects, both nationally and internationally, focus on advocacy. We work closely with the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at the U.N. in advocating for women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work. We support anti-trafficking projects through the Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women campaign.
- Women’ rights are recognized and respected as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential
- Women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men;
- No woman suffers from violence.
